Department's former PhD student wins Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition

Ben-EatonDr Carsten Sorensen|’s former PhD student, Dr Ben Eaton has won the 2013 ACM SIGMIS Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition at theInternational Conference of Information Systems 2013| in Milan. 

This is in International award within the IS Community which recognised his PhD dissertation on “The Dynamics of Digital Platform Innovation: A Study of Modular and Architectural Innovation in Apple’s iOS” as the most outstanding PhD dissertation around the world, within the field of information systems for 2013.  The Department of Management is very proud of this international achievement by Ben who is a credit to us all.

ACM SIGMIS Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition

The International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2013 invited nominations for the ACM SIGMIS Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition for outstanding doctoral dissertations around the globe in the field of information systems, that had been completed in the time period from July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013.
