Alumni from the MSc Management classes of 2001 and 2006 held their 10th and 5th anniversary reunions on 7 May 2011.
The event, hosted by the Department of Management, took place on the terrace of the New Academic Building where warm sunshine, cool drinks and majestic views of the London skyline provided the perfect setting for a memorable reunion.
The event was organised by Alberto Lidji (2001) and Marco Clemente (2006), whose efforts led to a strong turnout from UK-based and international alumni alike.
Alumni were joined by their former lecturers and by current students undertaking the Mastes in Management and the MSc Management and Strategy degrees. It was an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances in the process.
In addition to the obvious social component, the presence of current students at the reunion was very much planned with a business angle in mind - a "buddy system", where current students and experienced alumni develop a kinship and help each other with careers and recruitment.
The more formal tone of the reception was followed by a more relaxed expedition to the White Horse pub nearby, and by a subsequent dinner in the West End that lasted well into the night. It was a memorable day.
Manos Koutentakis (Class of 2001) said: "it was simply sensational to see so many of my friends after such a long time - and it was truly great to see how well everybody is doing. We should do these reunions more often!"
