Pedro, Portugal

Pedro-Nunes-largeDirector, Intercapital Investments
Living in London, UK

“I am a qualified Portuguese and Brazilian Lawyer and also have additional prior experience working at the United Nations in New York as Legal Advisor to the General Assembly - Sixth Committee (legal affairs). Most recently I founded Intercapital, a venture capital firm investing in early stage start-ups, which aims to help companies to reach their goals throughout a wide global network and business expertise.

Studying at LSE will provide me with the necessary tools and skills to better understand the complexity of the ‘global agenda’
and the economic, political and social status quo. The unique LSE approach to global issues will help me understand and analyse such decisive principles which will affect the daily management of my company and help me to make better business decisions. The Executive Global Master’s in Management will equip me with the critical thinking necessary to tackle the problems of management from an international and global perspective, promoting the skills to face the challenges of developing my firm, and the vocation to operate on a truly global scale.

Courses such as Foundations of Management and Managerial Economics stand out as fundamental pillars of management, enabling the cohort to instantly apply the learning back in the work place. Faculty on both courses combine academic excellence with real-world experience, providing us with a unique learning experience. The Executive Global Master's in Management has provided me with a different way of looking at firms and their business surroundings, helping me to easily assess the challenges of my portfolio companies in their “first steps”.

LSE and the Executive Global Master's in Management provide both amazing faculty and unique course content, with the opportunity to deliver what we learn in ‘real time’. Another factor that stands out is the quality of the diverse and internationally minded cohort, with students coming from all over the world, and from truly varied academic and professional backgrounds. Such a cohort experience is fundamental to establishing strong networks and to exploring the possible synergies that might arise.”
