As a world-renowned institution of higher learning, the LSE draws some the greatest minds in their respective fields, as well as a very diverse student body. The opportunity to study with the LSE’s faculty and be counted among its alumni made the Executive GMiM programme an obvious choice for my graduate studies

I work on the Fixed Income Financing desk in the Investment Bank’s Prime Services division. As a member of the Product Management team, I’m responsible for identifying process and system pain points in order to create actionable solutions for Barclays’ Fixed Income Financing business. In prior positions,
I was a Fixed Income Financing trader, covering the Firm’s Asia client base out of Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong

Having entered the investment banking industry during the tumultuous years of the global financial crisis, I quickly realized that success in modern finance requires a broad knowledge base and the ability to examine issues from multiple angles. As part of a management department based in a social science university, the Executive GMiM offers students a fresh take on the traditional MSc in Management degree – a necessity for navigating our changing world.

Professor Luis Rayo’s| Managerial Economics| course has been a class that has stood out to me – Luis is not only a brilliant economist, he is also able to make very complicated topics easy to understand and relevant to the Executive GMiM’s diverse class.

I was immediately struck by my classmates, and the wide range of experiences and skills they bring to the programme. Many graduate business programs attract a very homogenous class, but Executive GMiM students come from across the globe and work in a wide range of industries.
