The future of entrepreneurship: why the West should learn from China

This event has been cancelled. The Department of Management will endeavour to reschedule this lecture in the near future. Please check our upcoming events listings or follow us on Twitter for updates.

In this lecture, leading entrepreneur Jacqueline J Lam will argue that the perception of 'made in China' is evolving into 'made for China’ and plot a course for entrepreneurial success in the world’s second largest economy. She will dismiss Western myths about Chinese entrepreneurial culture. How do Western and Chinese entrepreneurs view government control: is it a limitation or an opportunity? How do eco-systems differ in the West and China: is one better than the other? Why does China have more self-made female billionaires, and what is the impact of female founders on the future economy?
