LSE HR Conference 2014

Join other HR professionals and attend the LSE HR Conference.

The LSE HR Conference provides the ideal setting for practitioners and academics to meet and discuss important contemporary HR issues.This one-day conference strikes the right balance between academic rigour and practical experience and anyone working or interested in human resources should attend.

This year, we invite conference delegates to reflect on the conference theme 'Visible and Invisible Diversity at Work'.

With keynote addresses from leading authorities in the field, showcases by world-class researchers as well as opportunities to network and take part in panel discussions, the LSE HR Conference is an event not to be missed.

The LSE HR Conference offers a full programme of speakers, lively discussions and debates, as well as a great opportunity to network with academics and professionals.

All conference events will take place in the New Academic Building. Conference sessions will be held in the Sheikh Zayed Theatre. A map of the LSE campus can be found here.|

10:30  Keynote: Professor Robert Livingston, Director for the Centre of Leadership, Ethics and Diversity (LEAD), University of Sussex

11:15  Keynote: Sarah Churchman, Human Capital Director- Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Wellbeing, PwC

12:00  Buffet lunch and PhD Poster Competition

13:00   Faculty Research Showcase: a series of short presentations by LSE faculty showcasing the latest research in HR and HR-related fields

14:15  Panel discussion: “From an HR perspective, is it more difficult to manage visible or invisible diversity?”

This event has been certified for CPD| purposes by the Continuing Professional Development Certification Service|. Self-Assessment Record forms will be made available for delegates wishing to record further learning and knowledge enhancement for Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD) purposes. For delegates who wish to obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance, it is the responsibility of delegates to register their details with a LSE member of staff at the event and email a completed scanned copy of their Self-Assessment Record form to [|] within 28 days of the date of the event attended. If a delegate fails to register their details at the event and email a scanned copy of their completed Self-Assessment Record form within 28 days, it will not prove possible to issue a certificate. Certificates of attendance will be emailed out within 10 working days of the Self-Assessment form being received.
