LSE Health welcomes applications for Research Training Fellowships from individuals outside the LSE.
Fellowships will normally be awarded to clinicians, government and senior private sector professionals, who wish to conduct research in a research centre environment and draw on the expertise of the LSE Health.
The fellowships may also be awarded to enable collaborations with LSE Health from those in journalism, government service, in professional practice, or in other appropriate fields. The duration of a fellowship can be from three months to one year and can be renewed up to two years in total.
Successful applicants would be issued with an LSE Library card and IT account, and have access to LSE events and facilities, as well as the Formal seminar series run by the Centre jointly with the Department of Health Policy. LSE Health would be able to offer limited desk space in a shared office (always subject to availability). The Centre has limited availability of desk space so this would not be guaranteed.
Successful applicants are required to pay bench fee of £20,000 (+VAT if applicable) per academic year (pro-rata for shorter terms).
Fellowships are non-contractual and unremunerated and applicants are expected to have arranged their own source of funding and accommodation when applying. LSE Health is unable to sponsor visa applications for the purposes of this scheme.
How to apply?
Email applications to email@example.com, enclose a curriculum vitae (three pages maximum) and an outline of proposed research (three pages maximum).
Applicants are encouraged to suggest relevant LSE Health staff whose work is of interest and relates to their proposed research. Please specify your preferred period of affiliation in your application as fellowships are awarded on competitive basis and subject to current commitments.
Received applications will be reviewed by the Centre on an ongoing basis, and awarded on competitive basis, taking into account experience of the candidate, contribution to the Centre and fit with the current expertise and priorities within the Centre.
