Sonia Gadhia

The programme has given me a sound education in actuarial and financial studies, as well as in mathematics, statistic and information technology. I particularly enjoy the statistical application to the social sciences and the interdisciplinary approach provided by a number of module options.

LSE has a fantastic location, allowing me to study in the heart of a truly multicultural city alongside many diverse people from all around the world.  These people contribute vastly to the friendly and supportive atmosphere which I feel encompasses LSE. I really enjoy sharing the infinite supply of entertainment London provides with the friends I have met.

There is a huge focus on personal development at LSE. The endless number of clubs and societies has enabled me to pursue many of my interests from dancing and Muay Thai boxing to finance and careers. Becoming a student Ambassador has allowed me to teach at different schools and my job with the LSE Annual Fund has helped to support my shopping habits!

LSE has played a huge part in making me aware of the career opportunities available to me. In my second year I interned with RBS Financial Markets and received a place on their graduate programme for when I complete my undergraduate studies.
