I selected LSE for my postgraduate education because of its international reputation, particularly the Department of Social Psychology, which is recognised as a leading centre in several theoretical and applied fields such as Social Representations, Organisations, Health and Community. The MSc programme has its focus on both societal and cultural issues by integrating theory and practice with the main aim of intervention at individual, institutional and communal levels. Additionally, the programme is interdisciplinary, and contributions from sociological, anthropological and economic perspectives on key current social psychological issues are addressed. Without any doubt, the most enjoyable part of studying at LSE has been the exciting experience of a multicultural environment with a great exchange of ideas between very clever and fun people. Apart from that, I have had the opportunity to benefit from the exceptional facilities at the School, above all from the world-class library and the wide range of academic and cultural events taking place here every single day. LSE has reinforced my desire to continue in the field of Social Psychology as a career option. The lectures and the contact with expert research contributed to broadening my views on different topics and to refining my research interests and my expectations in relation to my future career. After completing my MSc programme I intend to pursue a doctoral degree.
