LSE's standing, the calibre of its alumni and our exceptional working relationship with top graduate recruiters means that LSE Careers are able to offer you an outstanding programme of events, exclusive jobs and opportunities, one to one careers consultations and skills development throughout your time at LSE.  

Key LSE employability facts

  • 90.5% of leavers from 2013/14  were in work or study 6 months after graduation
  • Top four employment sectors for LSE graduates are:
    • banking and finance
    • politics, government and public sector
    • consultancy
    • education and teaching
  • 24.7% of LSE undergraduates and 10.1% of postgraduates were pursuing further study after graduating from LSE
  • Average starting salary was £26,400 for undergraduates and £33,000 for postgraduates – well above the national averages
