Careers events

Every year, LSE Careers provides a packed programme of events, exclusive to LSE students. For a more detailed overview of the careers events on offer at LSE, visit the careers events| section of the LSE website. 

Full event listings are always available on LSE CareerHub| (accessible once you register on campus during Orientation Week).

Careers fairs

Fairs are information gathering events which offer you a chance to talk and network with employers. LSE Careers run several careers fairs on campus every year focusing on areas like:

  • Law
  • Volunteering
  • Banking and financial services,
  • Consultancy
  • Internships,
  • Public sector and policy
  • Marketing, media and communications

LSE Careers also run fairs in Brussels (for those interested in careers in the EU), China and Singapore.

Careers forums

Careers forums are your opportunity to hear personal experiences from top employers and recently graduated employees and put your questions to people in the field.

Past forums have included:

  • Ethical careers forum
  • Law forum
  • Energy and environment forum

Careers seminars

LSE careers consultants run a core programme of careers seminars| throughout term time and during the summer focusing on the recruitment process and introductory guides to employment sectors. 

Seminar topics usually include:

  • The UK job market
  • Choosing a career
  • CVs and cover letters
  • Application forms
  • Interview skills
  • Case study interviews
  • Assessment centres (group exercises and presentations)
  • Key industry areas including the media, environment, law, banking and more
  • Pre-fair seminars before each careers fair
Employer-led seminars

These seminars are usually interactive workshops, designed and run by employers and focus on a key skill they prioritise during their recruitment process. You don't have to be interested in the company hosting the event to attend - the sessions are designed to be useful to all. Just a few past seminars include:

  • Pot noodle challenge, Unilever

Employer presentations

Hundreds of company presentations| take place during Michaelmas term, mainly on campus, but some at company premises in London.

Presentations give you an opportunity to meet company representatives, learn about their graduate programmes and other vacancies, gain an insight into a company and it's culture. All presentations on campus are for LSE students only, allowing you to have exclusive time with the different organisations.
