urbanest Westminster Bridge offers a fantastic central location overlooking Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. LSE has an exclusive area of the building designated just for LSE students.
The hall has its own pool and comes with a private Health Suite with a gym, sauna and fitness studio; as well as a café, roof terraces and free bike hire. Please be advised that there is an additional fee for membership of the Health Suite, on top of the standard room rate.
LSE work in close partnership with urbanest to ensure that LSE students have a positive all round living experience at the hall. To help facilitate this partnership, an LSE School Resident (details of staff member to be confirmed) will be based at Westminster Bridge to assist directly in matters of welfare and support.
Students enter in to a private rental agreement, a Tenancy Agreement, with urbanest and not LSE.
urbanest provide all facilities, services and amenities for this residence, as part of their Tenancy Agreement. Please read thoroughly and check any Tenancy Agreement before you sign and accept it.
LSE place a Warden in urbanest Westminster Bridge who oversees pastoral support for LSE students.

Contract length
The 50 week contract period includes Christmas, Easter and most of the summer vacations.
38 week contracts exclude the summer vacation. 38 week contracts are only available on a limited number of private, single en suite, and twin en suite rooms and are charged at a higher rate than 50 week contracts.

There is easy access to the public transportation system, with Waterloo, Westminster and Lambeth North tube stations nearby. You can take a bus straight to LSE which takes approximately 15 minutes; it takes 25 minutes to walk and 12 minutes to cycle (the hall includes free cycle hire).

Are meals included in the rent?
No. Westminster Bridge is a self catered hall. Well equipped kitchens are provided throughout the accommodation.
What is provided in the kitchens?
Depending on the room you choose, you'll have access to either a private or a shared kitchen. Each kitchen contains an oven, a stove and a fridge/freezer. There is also a microwave and a dishwasher.
You will have to supply your own utensils and crockery. However, utensil packs are available to purchase.
Does WBSA have Wi-Fi?
Yes. All areas including bedrooms have Wi-Fi/internet access.
What shared areas are there?
There are two communal areas that are located just above on the ground floor of reception and on the eighteenth floor. There will be games as well as Wi-Fi, iMac and iPad stations. Private study and tutorial rooms are available. There is a card operated launderette and you can hire and store bicycles, too. For 2016/17, the price of a wash is £2.40 and a dry is £1.40.
Is there disabled access?
Yes. There is good disabled access to the building and there are a number of wheelchair accessible en suite bedrooms and modified kitchens.
Are the halls cleaned?
The common rooms of the hall are cleaned daily but you are responsible for cleaning your own room.
What bedding do I need to bring?
You must supply you own bed linen, towels, duvets and pillows. However, linen packs are available for purchase.
Will my bed have a single or a queen sized bed?
All rooms at Westminster Bridge have single beds, except for the studio rooms, which have queen sized beds.
How large is the swimming pool?
The pool at WBSA is 18 metres long and has 3 lanes for lane swimming.
What is included in the gym?
The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art treadmills, cross trainers, upright and recumbent bikes, free weights and a relaxation area.
What are the gym membership fees?
Gym membership is available on a first come first served basis. The fee for gym membership for LSE students is £2.50 per week, and is payable for the full duration of your stay upon arrival. If you cancel your membership in writing to urbanest before 30 September 2015, the fees are fully refunded.
