From Heathrow
London Underground (the Tube) connects Heathrow directly with central London. This is the cheapest convenient way to travel as long as you don't have too much luggage. For Grosvenor House, take the Piccadilly line directly to Covent Garden or Holborn.
A possibly faster but certainly more expensive option is the Heathrow Express. This runs every 15 minutes to and from Paddington Station in central London. The journey takes about 15 minutes. From Paddington take the Tube, Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus and change to Central line for Holborn.
Alternatively, National Express runs bus services between the terminals and central London. Most go to Victoria. Unless you arrive after the last Tube we wouldn't recommend this service for Grosvenor House.
From Gatwick
We'd recommend Thameslink Railway which runs train services to Bedford via London, and stop at King's Cross/St Pancras. From there, you can take the Piccadilly line southbound to Holborn or Covent Garden.
Otherwise, you could use the Gatwick Express which runs trains every 15 minutes to Victoria. The journey takes about 30 minutes. All trains come into the South Terminal, but there is a free Inter Terminal Transit train every 3 minutes (journey time 2 minutes).
Alternatively, Gatwick Airport is well connected by National Express coach services to the rest of the UK. The Airbus A5 runs to Victoria from the South Terminal.
From Victoria
Use the Tube, Victoria line to Green Park station and then north on the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden or Holborn.
From Paddington
London Underground, Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus and then east on the Central line Holborn.
From Waterloo
Take the Northern line, northbound to Tottenham Court Road and then the Central Line east to Holborn.
From Kings Cross or Euston
Take the Piccadilly Line southbound to Holborn or Covent Garden.
From Liverpool Street
Take the Tube, Central line to Holborn.
By Taxi
If you've too much luggage to carry easily on and off trains or buses then you might consider a taxi from wherever you are. We recommend using a black cab. For Grosvenor House ask for 'Drury Lane, just before the junction with Great Queen Street'
The address details for your satellite navigation system are in the contact us box on the left. We also recommend using a route planner such as AA route planner, the RAC route planner, Green Flag route planner or any other.
