How to get to Anson Road

Anson and Carleton Road flats are situated at the junction of the two roads (Anson Road and Carleton Road) in the Tufnell Park area of north London.

The information below should help you get here regardless of where you're coming from or how you are travelling.

From Heathrow

By rail and tube

London Underground (the tube) connects Heathrow directly with central London. This is the cheapest and most convenient way to travel as long as you don't have too much luggage.

For Anson Road, take the Piccadilly line to either Leicester Square or Kings Cross and change to the Northern line, northbound direction Mill Hill East or High Barnet. You should get off at Tufnell Park (approx 0.4 miles from the residence). The trip will take you approximately one hour and 40 minutes.

A possibly faster but certainly more expensive option is the Heathrow Express. This runs every 15 minutes to and from Paddington Station in central London. The journey takes about 15 minutes. From Paddington take the Tube, either Circle or Hammersmith and City line to King's Cross and then change for the Northern line to Tufnell Park (from Paddington to Tufnel Park will take approximately 20 minutes) or hop in a black cab (taxi).

By bus

National Express run bus services between the terminals and central London. Most go to Victoria from where you can catch the Piccadilly line to King's Cross and then change for the Northern line to Tufnell Park (approx 0.4 miles from the residence). The trip to Victoria can take up to 1 hour 15 minutes and the another 30 minutes by tube.

If you have a lot of luggage, it is probably easier to take a taxi from Paddington or King's Cross, as it will be more difficult to find a taxi available at Tufnell Park.

From Gatwick

By rail

We'd recommend First Capital Connect which runs train services to Bedford via Kings Cross or Southern Trains that stop at King's Cross as well. From King's Cross you can take the tube - Northern line - to Tufnell Park. Otherwise, you could use the Gatwick Express which runs trains every 15 minutes to Victoria. The journey takes about 30 minutes. All trains come into the South Terminal, but there is a free inter-terminal transit train every three minutes (the journey time two minutes).

By bus

Gatwick Airport is well connected by National Express coach services to the rest of the UK. The Airbus A5 runs to Victoria from the South Terminal.

From Victoria

Use the Tube, Piccadilly line to King's Cross station and change for the Northern line to Tufnell Park.

From Paddington

London Underground, Circle line or Hammersmith and City line to King's Cross. Change there for the Northern line to Tufnell Park.

From Waterloo

Take the Jubilee line to London Bridge and change here for the Northern line to Tufnell Park.

From King's Cross

You can take the Northern line to Tufnell Park(approx 0.4 miles from the residence.

From Liverpool Street

You can take the Tube, either Circle or Metropolitan and City or lines to King's Cross. Change there to the Northern line to Tufnell Park

By Taxi

If you've too much luggage to carry easily on and off trains or buses then you might consider a taxi from wherever you are. We recommend using a black cab. For Anson Road ask for '83 Anson Road, at Tufnell Park'.

By car

We recommend using a route planner such as AA route planner|, the RAC route planner|Green Flag route planner| or any other.

Enter the post code 'N7 0AS' as your destination. Directions should be pretty straight forward with this information.
