urbanest King's Cross

The residence is situated near King's Cross and St Pancras stations, two of London's major transport hubs. It offers accommodation to LSE and non-LSE students in shared flats and studios. urbanest King's Cross is independently owned and managed by urbanest student housing. 


The area around King's Cross and St Pancras stations is fast becoming one of the new lifestyle centres in London. With galleries, shops, cafes, leisure facilities and a flourishing student community, there is a real ‘social buzz’ with a great sense of community. Journey time to LSE campus is approximately 15 minutes (two stops from King's Cross underground station to Holborn on the Piccadilly line), or you can walk to the School within about half an hour.

Does my rent include meals?
King’s Cross is a self catered hall. Well equipped kitchens are provided.

What is provided in the kitchens?
Depending on the room you choose, you'll have access to either a private or a shared kitchen with quality appliances. Each kitchen contains an oven, a stove with grill and a fridge/freezer. There is also a microwave and a dishwasher. You will have to supply your own utensils and crockery. However, utensil packs are available to buy from the building. What do I get in my room?
Comfortable beds are complimented by under-floor heating, controlled by an individual thermostat in your room. Each room has a large study desk and plenty of storage for clothes, shoes and books alike. All rooms have their own private bathroom with high spec fixtures and fittings. What shared areas are there?
Two generous communal areas are located just above reception and on the thirteenth floor. The large lounge offers TV, soft seating, table tennis and other activities, as well as Wi-Fi and iMac stations. Private study and tutorial rooms are available. Is there disabled access?
There is good disabled access to the building as well as a number of the rooms.

Do I get internet access?
Broadband of up to 25mb is provided in your room, and the entire building has wireless internet access. Also see: What we provide in each hall| [PDF]

Are the halls cleaned?
The communal areas of the building are cleaned routinely, but you are responsible for cleaning your own room and kitchen.

What bedding do I need to bring?
You must supply you own bed linen, towels, duvets and pillows. However, linen packs are available to buy from the building. Also see: What we provide in each hall| [PDF]


Vacation periods
The 50 week contract period includes the Christmas and Easter holidays, and most of the summer vacation.

  • Single rooms with shared bathroom £194.67 to £204.97 per week
  • Single en suite rooms £215.27 to £225.57 per week
  • Single studios £307.97 per week
