How room rates are calculated
Room rates differ from hall to hall according to several factors

whether or not the hall is purpose built student accommodation

relative room size in the building
-
location within the building
-
available natural light
-
en suite or shared bathroom
-
proximity to shared facilities, such as bathrooms, kitchens, etc
-
bed size
-
whether or not a meal plan is included in the weekly charge

Additional costs
Electrical items testing
A standard £10 fee is charged so that we can test your personal electrical equipment. This service is compulsory. Tests are carried out in term one, but charges for the testing will be added to your second terms' bill.
Common room charge
The common room fee charge ranges from £10 to £20 per term, depending on the hall you live in. Some halls charge no common room fee, for details see the fee tables above.
Payment schedules
Generally, fees are due termly by the end of the second week of each term. A schedule of payment dates will be available in your licence agreement and a general schedule for your hall is available oline at: How to pay your accommodation fees
