Accepting or declining an offer

Accepting an offer for accommodation

You have seven days to accept or decline our offer. After this time, your offer will expire and you will lose your place. 

To accept your place, within seven days you need to:

  1. Read the relevant licence agreement (you will see this in hallpad)
  2. Accept your offer in hallpad
  3. Complete the pre-payment of  £200 (£400 for couples and families)

On receipt of the pre-payment at the Residential Services office your place in the residence will be booked.

If the Residential Services office has NOT received your acceptance and the pre-payment within the deadline as specified in your offer email, your accommodation offer will be withdrawn.

  • Accepting this offer will indicate that you have read and understood the relevant licence agreement and are willing to sign the agreement before taking up residence.
  • The pre-payment will be held throughout the term of your residence, the balance being settled against your final terms' fees. 
  • Please note that you will be responsible for any bank charges incurred.
  • If you are not expecting to stay in residence for the entire academic session you should note that you remain liable for all fees regardless of your departure date.

Declining an accommodation offer

If you received an offer for accommodation, but DO NOT want to take up the offer, please decline the offer online via hallpad. This will allow us to offer the place to another student straight away.

If your change your mind AFTER accepting the offer and making the pre-payment, please withdraw your application in hallpad and contact the Residential Services office regarding a possible refund (see 'How to contact us' on the left).

  • No refund of the pre-payment will be made unless notice arrives before 1 September of the current application year. In the event of a refund having to be made, any applicable bank charges will be met by the student.
  • All refunds will be made using the same payment method used to make the pre-payment. The only exception is if the pre-payment was made in cash, when the refund will be by sterling cheque drawn on the School's bank account.
  • The School cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from exchange rate fluctuations between the dates of the receipt of the pre-payment and the sending of a refund.
