The campus

LSE’s campus is situated in central London. We are near to the River Thames, Covent Garden and theatreland, the Royal Courts of Justice and many other London sights.

All of our buildings are located within the same few streets between Aldwych, Kingsway and Lincoln’s Inn Fields. This means that everyone works, studies and socialises as part of a single community – though it’s a community with a huge range of interests, backgrounds and nationalities!

“I was attracted to LSE because it provides a 'campus' feel in the centre of London. LSE is compact and when one is on Houghton Street there is no doubt that one is in the hub of a university. This brings together the best of two worlds as, at LSE, one can feel part of a tight knit community, but a few steps away London is at your feet.” Astrid Barsk, BA History

As a leading social science institution, LSE places great emphasis on providing world-class academic and social facilities to its students. Click the links to the left to see how LSE students get the most out of their studies and their time on campus.
