As befits a university, LSE’s campus is home to two excellent bookshops.
Founded in 1946, The Economists’ Bookshop is a specialist branch of the Waterstones bookshop chain. The shop developed alongside the School, so its stock mirrors the social science subjects studied at LSE, plus a large fiction section. Students can buy their textbooks new or second-hand from The Economists’ Bookshop; they can also attend exclusive book launches when LSE academics publish their new books.
Around the corner is Alpha Books, campus’s very own second hand bookshop. Whether you’re looking for something to supplement your studies or some fiction to read during time off, you’re sure to find a bargain.
