Using the space and facilities


There are a range of services and facilities that can help you get the most out of your Library. Follow the links to see how you can best use the space during your time here.

Studying in the Library

The Library has three coloured zones for different study styles and 1,844 seats. Please use the one that best suits your needs.


LSE students can book group study rooms and study spaces on-line via the Library section on LSEforYou|. Study rooms are available for LSE students to do group work without disturbing others in the Library.


Disabled users|
A range of services and facilities are available to both LSE staff and students and non- LSE members, including portable hearing induction loops, a fetch service, flexible borrowing arrangements and lockers.   

Study services

There are a number of IMT related services you may wish to know about while studying in the Library. The Library has a number of printers that can be used by LSE students. Once you have activated your account you can top up your account in the Copyshop, via LSE Wallet, or one of the value loaders on the lower ground, ground and first floor. 

Photocopying services are available to both LSE staff and students and non-LSE members. The Copy Shop is open Monday to Friday 10.30am - 6.45pm.
