One of the best ways to discover the Library when you arrive for the first time is to take an Audio Tour. It is a relaxed and informal way for new users to get to know the Library's layout and facilities. Even if you have used the Library before, it provides an excellent opportunity to refresh your memory of some of the harder to find parts of a collection that spans 4 million printed items and 50 kilometres of shelving.
The tour is broken into key sections and designed to be listened to on your MP3 player. You can download either the whole tour, or mix and match, downloading only the sections that interest you to create your own journey around the library.
The whole tour lasts about 25 minutes. Floor plans are available at the Service counter to help navigate your way around.
