Your LSE card is your Library and School ID card.
New students (including intercollegiate students) receive their cards from the Student Services Centre after they have registered with the School.
All contracts should be signed and returned to Human Resources before you visit the Central Badging Office to collect your new staff card. The office is located on OLD G.02 and is situated adjacent to the waiting area in the Old Building foyer. The opening hours are 9am to 5pm. Check whether your ID card is ready by contacting the office.
For visiting academics or agency staff, the Central Badging Office can provide an Associate staff ID card. Departments are required to complete the Associate Request Form. An email confirmation will be sent when the card is ready for collection. Associate applications will be processed by the end of the following working day.
Alumni of LSE can continue to use LSE Library. To apply for a card, complete our application form. You will receive a confirmation email when your card is ready for collection.
Alumni status does not provide off-site access to electronic resources.
