Film/Moving Image Collections

Use these resources to locate films and moving images.

Box of Broadcasts(UK Access only)| Streaming TV service. Access TV and radio programmes from over 60 channels. Includes BBC TV and radio plus 10 foreign language channels. Content is from 2007 onwards. You can also search for TV Listings using the TRILT database.|

Ethnographic Video Online|
Search, locate and access a major collection of over 400 20th century ethnographic films. The resource covers all regions of the world and features the work of many influential anthropologists amd documentary films makers. A large number of the films have transcripts and educational notes. You can even create your own film clips, and they include extensive coverage of the Amazon region including films made by Bruce Parry.

JISC MediaHub Service|
Use Firefox to access this resource and choose the UK Federation Login. MediaHub contains thousands of examples of photographs and films. Features Reuters and ITN news coverage of Latin American news stories. It covers the 20th and 21st centuries. 

University at Albany, New York|
Provides an excellent guide to free online Latin American and Spanish videos and films.

Use these to locate still photographs prints and drawings

JISC MediaHub service|
Provides access to photographs and films online. Choose the UK Federation Login. Features photographs of South American leaders. Covers the 20th and 21st centuries.

Royal Geographical Society Picture Library|
Includes an image library with collections (mainly historic) relating to central and South America.

LANIC - University of Texas|
This resource has a useful guide/directory to film/cinema resources from Latin America. These include film festivals and national film agencies.
