Material on Africa will be shelved in a number of places depending on the subject matter.

African history material is shelved at DT and there is a small African law collection at KQC. Other materials are shelved at a varity of locations including economics at HC and administration at JQ.

Pamphlets are kept in closed access and are fetched on request. The Library holds a couple of thousand pamphlets published by a wide range of organisations, many in African countries.

The Library collection mirrors the main areas of research and interest for the School. While there is material relating to all countries on the African continent some countires are covered more widely than others. The map on the right shows the level of coverage of the different countries. The darker blue signifying a greater number of items relating to that country. Kenya, South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria are the major areas of collection of the Library and also research at the School.
