Journal articles and online resources

Journal articles

Library Search| is a fast and intuitive library search system which enables you to search a wide range of all Library content, including journal articles, all in one place.

Not all relevant resources for all topics are available via Library Search and sometimes it is necessary to search individual databases.

If you are conducting research on a topic and do not have a reading list, we recommend starting with Library Search| and searching individual databases.

  • Do not assume a simple Google search will find all articles.
  • Our databases cover materials from a wide range of publishers so will provide more information than you could retrieve from a single publisher's ejournal site.
  • Some databases will link to the full text of article - others will give you bibliographic details only.
  • Databases can also include information on book reviews, book chapters, grey literature, government reports, theses and so on.
