Data Library

The Data Library contains a wide range of data and statistics from across the globe. Access is usually available online or in print. In some cases it is only available from specific machines in the Library and other data is held offline and needs to be requested from the Data Library. The Moodle course called the Library Companion for Data Users| has a good introduction to our resources and will help you locate material

The Data Library team| is also available to assist with any queries you may have about finding data or using individual resources.

Theses

Proquest Dissertations and Theses
|Contains PhD, M.Phil & Masters theses/dissertations, mostly from North America, but titles from other areas are included. LSE subscribes to the Humanities and Social Sciences sub-set, but brief details are available for more recent years in all topic areas

Index to Theses
|Contains UK & Irish PhD & M.Phil theses from 1716 to the present day. From 1986 onwards abstracts are included although many are now being added prior to that date.

LSE Theses are indexed on the Library Catalogue|. Carry out a search and then limit to 'Dissertations, Academic' option to limit your results to Ph.D theses only. You can type the name of a department into the author field to see all LSE theses for that department

More recent LSE theses and some older material is also available online through LSE Theses Online|. The theses are browsable by department.

Online resources

LSE Library has a Delicous account with suggestions of good free online resources. Each resource is tagged to describe the content and these tags are browsable. There is a tag for health|. The content has also been collected into bundles for each department so have a look at the Social Policy|, Management| and Accounting| resources.
