Library Catalogue

Use the Library Catalogue| to search for books, journals and online resources. Use the floor plan guides included in each catalogue record to locate material or ask at the Help Desk. 

Course books

The Course Collection (ground floor) holds multiple copies of essential course texts.

You can short-cut the searching for reading list books by using Reading Lists @ LSE|.  This currently contains mainly undergraduate reading lists


The Library has large collections of  ebooks accessible to LSE staff and students using your LSE username and password via the Library Catalogue|. Major collections include:

Finding books not held by the Library

You can search Library catalogues from all over the world to identify material. If you can't get to the holding Library, then you can request material via our Inter Lending service.

COPAC| is a joint catalogue of major UK research libraries including LSE, the British Library, UCL, King's, Welcome Library, Oxford, Cambridge.
