The Women's Library @ LSE

The Library collects social sciences material in the widest sense, with the collections particularly rich in economics, statistics, political science and public administration.

These pages contain information on some of the unique collections held by the Library.

The Women's Library @ LSE documents all aspects of women’s lives with a particular emphasis on the lives of women in the UK and the great political, economic and social changes of the past 150 years.
The Library has extensive collections of government and inter-governmental organisations, including many statistical publications.  

The print collections of pamphlets  and rare books features a range of unique historical items.
The specialist print collections, such as our Russian collections and the library of Imre Lakatos, are examples of the Library's rare resources to aid research and study.
The range of data and statistics, including highlights from the Data Library, provides evidence of social and political change throughout history.


The Library's rich collections of archive holdings include the archives of LSE itself (LSE history collections)
