Michele Sahrle

Michele Sahrle (Ms) - Service Delivery Manager, Taught Postgraduate Programmes

Michele oversees the Department’s LLM and MSc programmes. She is responsible for implementing School policies and procedures relating to teaching programmes at department level and for coordinating Law teaching programme information for colleagues in the School. Michele manages the LSE Law Teaching Committee and manages teaching projects and reviews, such as the TLAC review. Michele is the Department contact for new course and programme proposals.

Communications Officer (vacant)

The Communications Officer is responsible for the development of LSE Law’s communications objectives, including publicising our research and external relations activities, as well as promoting law programmes. The post holder coordinates the Department’s public events programme and runs and develops LSE Law’s approaches to social media output.

Giuseppe Capillo-2017

Giuseppe Capillo (Mr)  - LSE Law Receptionist

The Law Reception is open from 9.30am -12pm and 12.30 – 5pm. Giuseppe provides assistance with general enquiries and can tell you who to contact if you need more detailed advice. Students will often be advised to pick up their marked essays from Giuseppe and they can also leave letters for staff with him.

The Finance Officer has key responsibility for LSE Law's budgets and financial record keeping and is the contact point for all finance queries. The Finance Officer also manages the Department's occasional research assistants’ contracts.

Prabhat Sakya (Mr) – Research and Impact Service Delivery Manager

Prabhat has lead administrative responsibility for the Department’s Research and Impact activities. He provides advice and support to academics on grants opportunities and how to apply for research funding. And he also aims to strengthen our impact activities, whether this be public engagement and knowledge dissemination or influencing government policy and protecting consumer rights.

Amanda_Tinnams

Amanda Tinnams (Mrs) - Estates Officer, Short Course & MLR Administrator

Mandy co-ordinates the Departmental day to day provision of matters relating to Health and Safety, as well as ensuring that the physical facility of the Department is maintained appropriately and functions effectively for staff and students. Mandy also manages the Modern Law Review, LLM Specialist Seminars, and the Short Course on Financial Services and Markets Regulation.

Harriet Carter

Harriet Carter (Ms) - Department Manager (Operations and Personnel)

Harriet manages the Professional Services team, and works closely with the Head of Department and the Department Manager (Strategy and Resources) to achieve the effective management of departmental human, financial and physical resources. Harriet manages the Department’s academic and administrative staff recruitment, and deals with part-time teacher contracts.

Matt Rowley-2015

Matt Rowley (Mr) - Department Manager (Strategy and Resources)

Matt has overall responsibility for the provision of administration to staff and students in LSE Law, and leads the Professional Services team. He has principal administrative responsibility for the Department’s responses to School and other reviews, such as the Research Excellence Framework and Academic and Student Affairs Committee review.
