Ingrid Wildi, a well known Chilean artist based in Geneva, will present Does Mrs Eliana M live here?, ¿Aquí vive la señora Eliana M.? (2003). The work is literally the artist's search for her mother who abandoned the family when she was little. Since then, Ingrid lost all contact with her. In this video-essay Ingrid interviews her mother who is now a clairvoyant helping the police with difficult cases. She also interviews her grandmother with whom she talks about the family's history of migration.

She also talks with an anaesthetist uncle whose story becomes a metaphor of that part of Chile that would like to forget its past. Ingrid finds in the voice of others, and her own montage of the images, a way of finding her own voice and 'to negotiate her own relationship with the world'. ¿Aquí vive…? Is a kind of road movie where the journey through time and space becomes also a spiritual journey.

After the screening there will be a question and answer session with Ingrid Wildi. For more information about her work: www.ingridwildi.net
