In the wake of the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War almost 35,000 thousand children were evacuated to France, Mexico, USSR, Belgium and the UK. This documentary tells their extraordinary story. Eye witness accounts are skilfully mixed with expert analysis and dramatic reconstruction. This documentary received the bronze medal at the 2004 New York Festival.
Herminio Martinex is one of the 4000 children who arrived in Britain in 1937.
