German for Academic Reading Purposes (GAP)

The LSE Language Centre German Section has collaborated with the Language Centre, University of Cambridge| to develop annotated academic reading texts which are designed to help students improve their academic reading skills.

This learning object is intended for students who want to improve their reading skills of German employed for academic purposes (Deutsch als Wissenschaftssprache), especially as it is used in the social sciences. Reading proficiency at the intermediate level (B1/2) is assumed, but the extensive vocabulary help will support learners who have not yet reached that level of proficiency. Learners will also benefit from grammatical as well as well as encyclopedic annotations.

The project can be accessed directly from the Reading texts German for Academic Purposes website|.
