Modern Foreign Language Programmes

The courses we offer come in three categories. The first, Degree Course, form part of an undergraduate degree. The second, Certificate Course, are extra curricular in nature and can be taken by anyone including those not currently at LSE. The third, are our fun, short but sweet, Summer Languages Programme.

If you are an Undergraduate student you can study a language as a fully assessed part of your degree programme by taking one of our Modern Foreign Language Degree Courses. French, German, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish Language and Society courses are available to choose from.

Our Modern Foreign Language Certificate Course programme offers you the option of taking an extra curricular language course whilst at LSE. These courses are also available to LSE alumni and later on in the registration process we open the doors to University of London students and then to everyone else!

Our Summer Languages Programme is a range of short, but sweet language courses. Summer Languages offers a range of languages and levels throughout July - August each year.
