About me

I have been teaching French at degree and certificate levels at LSE since 2006. I have been involved in the teaching of French at all learner levels and the creation of French teaching materials for nearly 40 years. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Algiers and postgraduate qualifications in Conference Interpretation  (PGDip) from Westminster University and Literary Translation (MA) from the University of Essex.

Before joining LSE I had been writing and editing a wide range of supplementary teaching materials including magazines at all levels of French, audio materials, workbooks and readers for Mary Glasgow Magazines (part of the Scholastic Group) for 25 years. I also taught Family French (beginners French to 7-9 year olds with their parents), Business French, French for Property Buyers, GCSE and A Level students.

About the Language Centre

The Language Centre here at the London School of Economics reflects the specialist nature of the School itself, namely, a world class institution where the quality of teaching and research is paramount.

LSE is not just a multi-national university but also a multi-lingual one.

We offer English for Academic Purposes programmes, undergraduate degree courses and a range of language options that you can take outside of your main degree programme. All programmes and courses relate language study and support to the fields of interest of social science students.

The Language Centre is part of LSE’s Academic and Professional Development Division.

About the Academic and Professional Development Division
