If you're looking for information about Welcome Week 2015 (previously Orientation Week), you're here a bit too early. We'll be updating this site with information during the summer of 2015.
LSE Welcome Presentations are compulsory for all new students.
Presentations are given by senior LSE staff and representatives from the Students' Union. This is your opportunity to learn more about the LSE community and our opportunity to welcome you to it, including valuable information about the wealth of support available to you while studying at LSE.
These sessions are different those held in your academic department, which may also be compulsory, so please make sure you attend both.
Date, time and location
The date and time of Welcome Presentations vary depending on your level of study and your academic department.
Download the LSE Welcome Presentations 2014 schedule for further details.
If you are unsure what department you are in, therefore which Welcome Presentation you should attend, please look your course title up on the Undergraduate or Graduate programme registration schedule. Please note that the registration schedule is different from the Welcome Presentation schedule and you will be required to attend both events.
General Course students
General Course students should attend the General Course welcome meeting.
All PhD students are invited to a reception following the PhD Welcome Presentation. The reception will be held on Wednesday 1 October 2014 from 4:15 - 5:30pm on the 8th floor of the New Academic Building. Please note that there is restricted access to this building, so you will need to bring your LSE ID card or offer letter to gain entry.
All students are expected to attend their scheduled LSE Welcome Presentation. If for any reason you expect to arrive after Orientation Week, be sure to review the Late Arrivals pages for information on what you need to do.
