I also work as an Audit Secretary with the QAA and am Secretary to the ARC Quality Practitioners' Group.

As Research Degrees Manager, I am responsible for all regulatory aspects of research degrees within the School and take the lead on individual student cases such as appeals relating to examinations and de-registration. I advise both students and staff on these matters. In addition, I provide guidance on research degree policy matters, in particular the implications of policies of national agencies (such as the Research Councils, HEFCE and the QAA) and developments in the research degree area.
