Registration 2014/15 (new MPhil/PhD and Visiting Research Students)

Welcome to the London School of Economics and Political Science. We are delighted that you have chosen to study with us. One of the first things we ask you to do when you arrive is to register on your degree programme: you will need to do so in person at the Research Degrees Unit (Tower Two, sixth floor). Please read the following carefully.

What happens at Registration?

When you first register with the School you will be issued with an identity card which will provide you with, amongst other things, access to your library account. This will be activated approximately one hour after you register.

Please note that registration is for degree programmes only. You are not required to choose individual courses at registration.

Before you leave home

In order to avoid delaying your registration, please ensure that you have submitted your acceptance of your offer and your Financial Undertaking Form (FUF) via your LSEforYou| account. You can also check the up-to-date status of your offer and any submitted documents through the Graduate Application Tracker which you can access through your LSEforYou| account.

What to bring with you

For EEA or UK students:

  • Photographic identification that verifies your UK or EEA nationality, such as your passport, identity card or birth certificate (please note that a driving license does not verify nationality). Please note that the School is required to make a copy of this at registration.

For non-EEA students entering the UK with a visa:

  • Your passport showing evidence of your entitlement to study at LSE and the period for which you have permission to remain in the UK. Please note that the School is required to make a copy of this at registration.

For all students:

  • Your original offer letter
  • Any outstanding documents required by Graduate Admissions. Please note that if you have any outstanding documents/evidence you will need to see the Graduate Admissions office before coming to the RDU to register.

If you have any questions or concerns about the registration process please contact us as soon as possible on 020 7955 7761/7153 or researchdegrees@lse.ac.uk|
