Taught Graduate Registration

When should I register?

The date of your registration will have been confirmed in your offer letter.

If you are required to register early and need to attend a pre-sessional course as part of your programme you can confirm the time that you should register by checking the pre-sessional registration schedule. Registration will take place in the Hong Kong Theatre.

Registration for all other graduate students will take place in the Hong Kong Theatre. Times and dates for each programme can be found in the Taught Masters Registration Schedule.

We expect you to register on time, however we also recognise that this may not always be possible. If you expect to register late please first make sure that your department is happy with late registration you can then attend a dedicated late registration session, dates for which will be published shortly.

Where should I register?

Pre-sessional registration sessions take place in the Hong Kong Theatre on the Ground Floor of Clement House.

Registration for new postgraduate students takes place in the Hong Kong Theatre on the Ground Floor of Clement House.

Late Registration sessions take place in the Student Services Centre, on the Ground Floor of the Old Building.

To find out where the registration venues are located please visit Maps and Directions.

What should I do before leaving home?

In order to avoid delaying your registration, please ensure that you have submitted all required admissions documents before you arrive at the School.

You can check the status of your offer and any submitted documents through the Graduate Application Tracker, which you can access through your LSE for You account.

The acceptance of your offer and your Financial Undertaking Form should be submitted via  LSE for You.

Graduate Admissions will be available at registration but it will slow your registration if you need to submit documents to them first. If you do have outstanding documents it will speed things up if you bring both originals and copies with you.

Please also make sure that you have collated all of the  necessary documents required for registration.

What can I do if I miss my scheduled registration time?

We expect you to register on time. In some exceptional circumstances it may, however, be possible for you to register late.

All Diploma, MSc and MRes students must register by Friday 20 October 2017 but some programmes have much earlier cut-off dates. If you are going to register late you must contact your academic department to discuss when you can register.

Dates, times and locations for late registration sessions will be published here during Welcome Week.

Visit Late Arrivals for tips on settling in if you miss your scheduled Registration time.
