sQuid and Loyalty purses

From 30^th August 2016, pay with sQuid on your LSE ID card at all LSE Catering outlets and earn an amazing 5% loyalty reward. Using your card for payments will also make you eligible for future special offers and promotions!

Your sQuid account balance online will show two purses.

Your sQuid purse will show funds that you have added to your account.
Your Loyalty purse will show funds that have been added by LSE through Early Payment Reward or LSE Catering Loyalty Reward.

When using sQuid you should always let the cashier know whether you would like to pay using your sQuid purse or your Loyalty purse.

Early Payment Reward

Students who pay their fees early may be eligible for an Early Payment Reward. This reward should be added to the loyalty purse on your sQuid account by Friday 9th October.

Rewards for the 2015/16 academic year must be redeemed by 31st July 2016.

You must register at squidcard.com/LSE in order for the Early Payment Reward to be added to your account.If you are experiencing any difficulties, please see the FAQs for further advice.

When spending your Early Payment Reward, remember to let the cashier know that you would like the funds to come from your loyalty purse.

Lost, stolen or damaged cards

If your student ID card becomes lost, stolen or damaged, it is important that you put a hold on your account immediately by following the directions provided on the Student ID card page.

Updating your contact details with sQuid

If your contact details have changed, you must update this information both in LSE for You and on the sQuid website. When you update your contact details on sQuid, your details will not be automatically updated on LSE for You, and vice versa. Please keep your contact details up to date in both locations at all times.

Contacting sQuid

sQuidis a separate organisation and most queries regarding your account should go directly to their customer services team. The Student Services Centre is unlikely to be able to assist with many sQuid account related issues.

However, if your questions are regarding the Early Payment Reward, please contact the Fees Office.

I qualify for the Early Payment Reward, but the reward has not yet been added to my sQuid account. What should I do?

Check Early Payment Reward information online for the date that the reward will be added to your sQuid account.
Register your student ID card online at sQuid.
Check your account balance at squidcard.com/LSE
- If your sQuid balance has not been updated by the Early Payment Reward deadline, send an email from your LSE email account to the Fees Office at financedivision.squid@lse.ac.uk. Include your student ID number from the front of your ID card AND the long sQuid number on the back of your ID card.
- Please note that all queries must be directed to the Fees Office. The Student Services Centre general advice team is unable to assist with Early Payment Reward queries.

I have a new ID, how do I tranfer my sQid money from my old card to the new card?

Have you recently ordered a new ID card? If so, you must notify sQuid of your new sQuid number (on the back of your new student ID card) by selecting the Lost/Stolen option. Once this is done, the balance from your old card will transfer to the new one within 5 business days.
If you are still having issues, please contact sQuid directly by sending them a message via their website. Please note that the Student Services Centre general advice team is typically unable to assist with Early Payment Reward queries.

I cannot see my Early Repayment Reward on my sQid card, what shall I do?

Contact the Fees Office by emailing financedivision.squid@lse.ac.uk from your LSE email account. (Please note that the Student Services Centre general advice team is typically unable to assist with Early Payment Reward queries.)

You must include:

Your student ID number from the front of your ID card
The long sQuid number on the back of your ID card
The amount of the reward you received
The amount you think you should have received.

Where can I use sQuid on campus?

See sQuid catering locations for a list of places you can use your card at LSE. Please be reminded that sQuid can not be used for printing purposes.

Can I use sQuid to print documents or to make copies on campus?

What do I do if I lose my student ID card?

Visit Student ID card and follow the directions provided to order a new card.

My card does not work on touch pads when I try to pay for things using sQuid, or if I try to enter buildings on campus.

Check first to be sure that you are not storing your student card with an Oyster or a credit card. This can disrupt the sensor that allows you to use your card. Otherwise, it is possible that it has become damaged. Visit Student ID card and follow the directions provided to order a free replacement ID card.

Can I add funds to my sQuid account somewhere on campus?

The only way to add funds to your sQuid account is by logging in and adding funds using a credit or debit card via squidcard.com/lse
