General Sir John Monash Awards
Annually up to eight awards will be made to outstanding Australians graduating from Australian universities to enable them to study abroad. The awards are available for study towards a PhD but in exceptional circumstances they can be awarded for a masters programme.

Fundação Estudar is a non-profit institution which offers a merit-based scholarship programme for Brazilian students. In addition to scholarships, the Foundation provides career development and networking programmes for its scholars, both during and after their academic experiences. The Foundation is happy to consider applications from Brazilian students intending to study for a taught masters degree at LSE.

Instituto Ling is a philanthropic association with the purpose of offering financial support to young Brazilians who demonstrate potential to transform the Brazilian society into a more evolved, just and progressive one was founded in 1995 by the Ling family. Canadian Centennial Scholarships Fund
The Trustees of the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund (CCSF) provide funds for awards to Canadian men and women for academic and artistic studies in the UK, that are exclusively for students who have already commenced their studies in the UK. CONICYT
LSE contributes 20% of the total tuition fee liability for scholar who have been approved by funding by CONICYT under their standard award programme. CONICYT cover the remaining fee balance. CONICYT normally expect their awards to be repaid following graduation, however the LSE contribution is not repayable.
Applications for these awards should be made directly to CONICYT, following their established procedures. You must apply directly to LSE for a place on a programme of study at the same time.
Applicants selected by CONICYT, who are also offered a place on a programme at LSE, will then automatically qualify for the 20% fee contribution. There are no subject restrictions from LSE's point of view, but CONICYT may operate such restrictions, and details should be checked with them before application.

China Scholarship Council
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. The objective of the CSC is to provide financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad, and to foreign citizens wishing to study in China, in order to develop the educational, scientific and technological, and cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries.

Henry Lester Trust
The Henry Lester Trust Limited, named after Henry Lester who spent most of his life in Shanghai and who died there in 1926, considers applications for a grant of up to £2,500 from those who meet the following conditions:

Citizenship of the Peoples Republic of China.

Studying at a United Kingdom university or research establishment at postgraduate level or higher.

Studying or researching in the subject areas of architecture (to include civic planning, construction management, etc), medicine, computer development, and mechanical sciences.

Formal written support of the applicants professor, head of department or similar senior person.
-
The applicant will return to China.
-
The knowledge and skill obtained will be for the benefit of the people of China.
There is currently no formal application form. All applications must be made in writing to the address below. Applications must include the formal written support of the applicants professor or head of department, full details of the course or area of research, a detailed CV, a calculation of the amount sought, and an indication of the intention to return to China in due course.

Sino-British Friendship Scholarship Scheme
This scheme is jointly funded by the Sir Y K Pao Foundation and the governments of the People's Republic of China and the UK. Applicants should be resident in China at the time of the application and plan to undertake postgraduate research studies in the UK in the fields of technology, science, medicine, economics or social sciences. Awards last for up to three years and include air fares.

Colombia
COLFUTURO
LSE contributes 20% of the total tuition fee liability (for up to a total of three years) for scholars selected by COLFUTURO under their standard loan-scholarship programme for one year taught master's and three year PhD programmes. .
Applications for these awards should be made directly to COLFUTURO. You must obtain an unconditional offer of admission to LSE before applying to COLFUTURO. All applicants selected by COLFUTURO will then qualify for the 20% fee contribution.
Students with COLFUTURO awards should forward a copy of their award letter to the Financial Support Office either before or after their arrival at the School to enable their top up award to be processed.
