Camden Council are running a pilot scheme with LSE to simplify the council tax exemption process.
After the main registration period is completed, at the start of October, LSE send details of all students registered on a full-time programme with a contact address in the borough of Camden to the Council. This enables the Council to verify that you are a registered student without the need for you to submit a certificate of registration.
If you are a student on a full-time programme of study then you should complete the online council tax exemption form on the Camden Council website|. This will be available from 26 October 2012.
Once you have submitted the form you should receive a message confirming Camden Council have matched their data with that supplied by us. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail to the contact details provided to Camden Council.
If you registered at LSE after 24 October 2012 or are otherwise unsuccessful in using the online system then you should follow the standard exemption process|.
If you are a Camden resident and have any questions about your council tax exemption then you should contact the Council| directly.
