Welcome to urbanest Westminster Bridge

My name is Lydia Halls and I am the LSE School Representative at urbanest Westminster Bridge.

I’ll work with you to build an LSE community within the hall, make sure you’re well connected to everything that’s going on at the School and help you if you encounter any personal difficulties during your stay.

If you want to discuss any financial, health, wellbeing or academic concerns, are concerned about one of your fellow residents, or have an idea about how to improve residential life, please contact me at:

If you need help quickly, please visit or call the reception desk. It is staffed by your urbanest team 24 hours per day. They will be able to help you with most queries about your contract or the facilities in your room and the hall.

urbanest Westminster Bridge is LSE’s newest residence and it lies just a 25 minute walk away from LSE (and an even shorter bicycle, bus or tube ride). With an incredible central location overlooking Westminster Bridge, our hall offers spectacular views of the Thames, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.

This residence is managed by urbanest UK Limited, an independent accommodation provider. Whereas I provide pastoral support, urbanest staff manage the hall and its facilities, urbanest will respond to your maintenance and cleaning requests, and help to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We will both work closely with the student hall committee to put on a fantastic series of events throughout the year.

Nearby to urbanest Westminster Bridge is the Southbank Centre with the National Theatre, the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Festival Hall and many vibrant bars and restaurants. Lower Marsh, which is just around the corner, might appear unassuming, but it’s lined with independent shops, eateries and a regular street market. We’re also just a 15 minute walk away from Downing Street and a 25 minute walk away from Buckingham Palace.

Whether you are here for just one year or the first of three, I encourage you to participate fully in residence life. I hope that, as a result, your time at urbanest Westminster Bridge is memorable and rewarding.
