Who's who at Northumberland House

A warm welcome from all the staff at Northumberland House. Northumberland, like all LSE residences, has a twin-track management structure: the warden and her team preside over student welfare and discipline within the residence, whilst the day-to-day management of the residence is the task of the Service Manager and her staff who have responsibility for reception services, cleaning, maintenance, and facilities within the hall. Here's a little about who we are and what we do:

Sarah Lee

Warden, Sarah Lee

Sarah represents LSE at Northumberland House. She is ultimately responsible for student welfare and discipline within the residence and for ensuring that your stay here is a happy and safe one. Sarah is also Service Delivery Manager for Undergraduate Programmes in the Department of Law. You can email Sarah or make an appointment to see her on campus during work hours. 

If you need urgent help a subwarden is on duty every night and weekend and can be contacted through reception or on 0759 5091822.

The subwarden team are fellow students living here in Northumberland House. Each night during the week and all over the weekend, the duty subwarden should be your first point of call for any help or queries. The subwarden rota and duty mobile number are available via reception.

Gabriel Coppa

Receptionist, Gabriel Coppa

Gabriel is the full time receptionist at Northumberland House; if you're in reception in the daytime, it's probably him you'll see. The reception staff are there to deal with issues of any sort in the first instance. Even if they can't help, they'll point you in the direction of someone who can.

IT support officer

Kevin Brett

IT support office, Kevin Brett

Support for all halls is provided by Kevin, our full time IT support officer. To contact him, speak to reception or call or email the IT Help Desk, who'll forward your query to him. He's visiting each hall twice a week. You can reach him via the IT helpdesk





Front of house manager, Roberto Del-Monte

Roberto has worked in and managed several LSE halls and his many years of experience and good humour make him an indispensable part of the team. He is a graduate of the University of Rome. Roberto is responsible for the day to day management of the Hall and the direct management of the reception team.  If you have any problems that cannot be dealt with by the reception team, Roberto should be your first port of call.

Service manager, Sarah Jons (based at High Holborn)

Sarah oversees the running of three residences - Northumberland House, High Holborn and Grosvenor House. As Service Manager, Sarah heads the team and is committed to the provision of high-quality facilities and excellent customer service to students and visitors.

Security staff, Corps Security 

Weekends and overnight from 9pm to 9am, Corpos Security provide our security guards. They will offer help whenever they can, however their prime responsibilities are for the security of residents and helping with urgent needs outside normal office hours. Always provide proof of residence if asked and give them your full co-operation. Note - security guards cannot handle cash, process payments or send faxes and make photocopies.
