Lilian Knowles House, one of LSE's newest residences, is offering great facilities behind a truly historic facade in one of London's oldest districts. We're superbly located just 35 minutes walk away from LSE (or an even shorter bus or tube ride).
You couldn't ask for a better walk to campus as you pass some of London's most famous landmarks including the Bank of England, St. Paul's Cathedral and Fleet Street. The area around us houses part of London's financial district; several markets, including Spitalfields and Brick Lane, and has no shortage of restaurants, cafes, and other venues.
The majority of rooms at Lilian Knowles House are arranged in clusters, with four to eight en suite single rooms sharing a kitchen. There are also some self-contained studios and one bedroom flats. Computer room, laundry and common room are shared by all residents.
We house just over 360 postgraduate LSE students so there is always something going on and the committee provide a great focus for events.
Lilian Knowles House is managed by Sanctuary Students, an independent housing association with several residences across London, although all residents are LSE students. Sanctuary staff manage the hall on a daily basis and help make sure that things are running smoothly.
I am here to provide a link to LSE and help with welfare and discipline matters. For more details about who does what visit our Who's Who.
I hope that you enjoy your time at Lilian Knowles House and look forward to meeting you!
