My name is Chris Thomas and I am the Warden at urbanest King's Cross, as well as a lecturer in the LSE Department of Law.

Situated at the apex of the King’s Cross project, we are a pleasant 35 minute walk away from LSE campus (and an even shorter bicycle, bus or tube ride). The walk takes us through leafy Bloomsbury - once home to the Bloomsbury Set and now overflowing with great restaurants and bars. If they aren’t enough for you, there are even more nearby on Caledonian Road! We are just around the corner from the British Library and the British Museum, have incomparable transport options due to our proximity to King’s Cross and St Pancras Stations, and are a short walk away from the magnificent Camden markets.
The brand-new building at urbanest King’s Cross houses 330 undergraduate and postgraduate LSE students. The adjoining tower accommodates students from universities all over London. The majority of rooms at urbanest King’s Cross are arranged in clusters, with 2-6 rooms sharing a kitchen/common space. There are also some self-contained studios. The building contains two shared common rooms, two laundry rooms, and a computer room, with a café due to open in early 2014. .
The residence is managed by urbanest UK Limited, an independent service provider. urbanest staff manage the hall on a daily basis, including for maintenance and cleaning requests, and help ensure that everything runs smoothly. Urbanest also put on a fantastic series of events throughout the year which will help you to explore the local area.
