Warden's welcome to Butler's Wharf

Gordon LiI'd like to welcome you to Butler's Wharf Residence. As Senior Subwarden, I am helping to ensure that you have a positive student experience and a safe time living together at the residence.

We are located near Tower Bridge in an area with pleasant ambience. Landmarks like the Shard, London City Hall, HMS Belfast, Thames piers, and the Borough Market are all within a short walking distance.

Subwarden team

Our team of subwardens is responsible for ensuring that you have a safe and pleasant experience during your time at Butler's Wharf Residence. We are ourselves LSE students, and will often be your first point of contact regarding welfare and discipline. Contact us if you need assistance: concerns about living in London, financial burden, safety guidance, personal grievance, flatmates or other incidents. If you wish to meet us or to set up arrangements, please email us. To see who we are and how to get in touch, visit: Who's who at Butler's Wharf

House rules and community living

To ensure a positive living space for all residents, house rules are in place for your abidance. Prior permission is needed to organise parties in the basement or kitchen, or to have visitors over three nights in residence. Treat each other with respect and be mindful about noise disturbance. Visit: House rules, facilities and arrangements

Reception, security and hall committee

The reception office handles general maintenance, but you may report emergencies to the subwarden on duty in the first instance. At night in the reception there is security presence, and we also have a hall committee to plan social arrangements. To see who they are, visit: Who's who at Butler's Wharf

Please always feel free to contact the subwardens. I wish you a safe and memorable experience at Butler's Wharf residence, and an enriching year at the London School of Economics & Political Science.
