Bankside House is LSE's largest student residence with a diverse community of over 600 residents. The residence is located in the vibrant Southbank area, with some of London's most iconic cultural landmarks right on the doorstep.
The Southbank is renowned for its historical significance and is now a hub for the arts, film, theatre and music, including the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, the British Film Institute and the Southbank Centre. Bankside House is located within walking distance of LSE and has excellent transport links to other areas of London and beyond.
Bankside House has an experienced team in place to provide residents with an inclusive and supportive environment in which they can experience independent living and make the most of their time at LSE.
The warden's team is responsible for enhancing the residential community experience and for providing welfare support to residents who experience difficulties during their stay. The warden also works closely with the services and facilities management teams in the residence to support the whole residential life experience.
