Student discount cards

Students are entitled to a number of discounts and it is worth asking whether you qualify for a discount wherever you go. In some cases it may be cheaper for you to join a student discount club or scheme. While there is typically a fee to join these sorts of schemes, you may be able to save money in the long run if you take advantage of discounts regularly.

Travel discount cards

Students are entitled to a number of travel reductions, such as Student Oyster cards, the Young Persons Railcard, and the Young Persons Coach Card.  Visit Student Travel Cards for details.

International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

The ISIC Card is an internationally recognised discount card for full-time students.  Discount offers include travel, guidebooks, music, eating out, and entertainment.  The cost of the card varies, but is usually about £9.00.  See the ISIC website for details regarding the best way to obtain an ISIC Card.

NUS Extra

NUS (National Union of Students) is a membership organisation representing 7 million students in the UK. NUS Extra is a student card with a range of discounts on books, clothes, travel, music events, eating out, and more.  The cost of the card is around £12.00 for one year, and you can add further services to the card for a small additional cost, including the ISIC card.
