We have a huge range of activities built around two main curricula: core and specialist.

We recommend all students attend core talks and workshops to support their studies at LSE. This curriculum includes key topics such as how to plan and organise your study at LSE, how to read for academic work, how to write essays and improve your writing style, how to think more critically, how to communicate effectively, how to use others' ideas in your own work, and how to approach research and your dissertation.

Our specialist curriculum also consists of study-related talks and workshops but of a more specialist nature (hence the name!). This curriculum may be of interest to particular individuals or particular cohorts of LSE students. But specialist doesn’t just mean study skills! This curriculum has a much broader range of topics from how to build a rewarding career to how to look after yourself so that you can balance your study, work and leisure time.

Follow our instructions to subscribe to the LSE LIFE events calendar, or add individual events using the Add to Outlook Calendar option under each event.
