What we do
LSE LIFE integrates for the first time the many academic, professional and personal development opportunities offered by different LSE departments and services – and adds many new such opportunities – in one new specially designed centre on the ground floor of the LSE Library.
Students can come to LSE LIFE to develop academic, communication, numeracy and research skills, get advice on personal effectiveness and in making life choices, and gain insights into graduate recruitment and career paths.
Why LSE LIFE
The educational experiences of LSE’s undergraduate and taught master’s students lie at the heart of the LSE Education Strategy 2015-2020. Specifically, the Strategy includes aspirations that LSE graduates be critical, analytically sophisticated and globally employable; that students be provided with opportunities to develop skills that will prepare them, academically, personally and professionally, for life at LSE and beyond; and that students and staff together benefit from the School’s vibrant intellectual culture.
LSE LIFE plays a key role in achieving these aspirations. Its support to students as they transition into studying at one of the world’s leading universities, its provision of opportunities for students to develop skills throughout their time at LSE, and its work with departments to shape events that enhance disciplinary expertise and encourage community building are core elements of the education that LSE wants all of its students to experience.
Where we are
LSE LIFE is housed in a specially designed centre on the ground floor of the library. The team is on hand to help with queries, concerns or just conversation Monday to Friday, 10:00-19:00 and Saturday, 10:00-18:00.
